Hi, I’m Ali Raza — and this is DogTreatsLab

Welcome to DogTreatsLab! I’m Ali Raza, a home cook and lifelong dog lover, and every recipe on this site has been tested in my own kitchen — and taste-approved by my dog.

DogTreatsLab started with a simple frustration: standing in the pet-food aisle, squinting at ingredient lists full of words I couldn’t pronounce, wondering what I was actually feeding my best friend. So I started baking treats at home — simple, wholesome recipes made from real ingredients I already had in my pantry. My dog never complained. Friends started asking for the recipes. And DogTreatsLab was born.

What you’ll find here

This site is my working recipe lab for homemade dog treats: baked biscuits, frozen summer treats, no-bake energy bites, training treats, and special-diet recipes for puppies, seniors, and dogs with sensitive stomachs or allergies. Every recipe includes clear ingredients, step-by-step method, storage guidance, and — just as important — a safety section flagging ingredients dogs must avoid (like xylitol, chocolate, grapes, and onions).

My kitchen-testing promise

I don’t publish a recipe until I’ve made it at least twice in my own kitchen and my dog has given it two paws up. When I write about a health-related topic — like treats for kidney support, diabetes-friendly options, or calming recipes for anxious dogs — I research carefully and always include a clear note to check with your veterinarian first. I’m a passionate home cook sharing what works in my kitchen, not a vet, and I’ll never pretend otherwise.

Why homemade?

Because you control every ingredient. No mystery preservatives, no excessive salt or sugar, no fillers — just real food, portioned for real dogs. It’s also cheaper than premium store-bought treats, and honestly, there’s nothing like the look on your dog’s face when they smell something baking just for them.

Thanks for stopping by — grab a recipe, preheat the oven, and let’s make something your dog will love.
